When you want some relaxation to your mind, make a small trip or picnic to Boodanagudda Basaveshwara temple, this place is locate near to Kalghatagi, but people from all around from Dharwad, Hubli, and Kalghatagi visit this place regularly. From Dharwad it is about 25-30 km. From Hubli it is not much more far than that from Dharwad. Boodanagudda Basaveshwara temple is located in a small village called Chalamatti, from Chalamatti there is rout towards the temple. This place is a small hill station, in Dharwad, Hubli we cannot find hill stations like this and it is the beautiful place visit in Monsoon. Both sun rise and sun set are seen from the top of this hill. There is a tar road till the temple, but not in good condition. Bikes, Cars can be ok. There is a Basaveshwara Jatra (Fair) every year in Shravana masa. Shops are available at the top hill but not all the time, water facility is there.
